I have my doubts about this. Waaaay behind.
Chives – well what can I say. These have been in a pot for years. No fuss – no muss. They always come back.
First of the Clematis blooms. Nelly Moser I think.
This one is in it’s second summer. I bought it at a farm with no tags for $5. I love the color but I was kind of disappointed to see that it was more of a field peony. More tulip like than nice and frilly.
The color of the mystery Iris has been revealed….
Lamium running rampant!
Popping!
Sprouted!
Yawwwwn! The Rhododendron is slowing waking up.
Now…for anyone who read my blog a couple of weeks ago….this is what catnip does….
Silly Smudgie!

It is looking wonderful in your garden this week. I should share photos of my current state here...everything is covered in bed sheets....we went from high heat to cold and freezing yesterday...and again will be covering tonight...I hate it...5 huge bins of fabric and old sheets to cover my beds!!! ugh
thanks for linking in and reminding me why I bother to go to all the trouble for them!! your flowers are beautiful!
Love you photos, but that cat looks like he is having a mighty fine day! sandie
Your garden look's beautiful! And kitty is soooo CUTE! Have a good day...Julian
Your flowers look lovely. We have had so much rain the past two weeks that some things look good and others don't.

Wish we could grow Rhododendrons here! Your flowers are so pretty.
Love your mystery iris, and smudgie is just having too much fun!
Your flowers are beautiful. That peony may not have frilly flowers, but it is a gorgeous color.
I don't think I've seen a picture of a cat "under the influence" - cute.
Oh, to be able to spend all my days in the garden. What a happy camper, ummm, gardener I would be.
Your flowers are lovely Maureen. I see you enjoy gardening as well.
Have a great weekend!
Liz @ the Brambleberry Cottage
Hi Maureen,
After such a cold spring, summer has decided it didn't want to wait any longer to appear. It is 85 degrees, and I just came in to take a break from my planting. I'm mostly doing pots today. I think this is going to be the year I really don't plant as many pots, but time will tell.
I had to stop by to tell you I liked what you said in your comment to Brambleberry Cottage, about even though we know blooms are coming, they are still a nice surprise.
I am also with you in buying unnamed plants I like on clearance, especially when they are in nice sized pots. I have gotten some nice plants that way.
Nice blooms! Give your brug some more time. Maybe it will have a growth spurt.
I forgot to say I love the color of your mystery iris. Your kitty looks quite happy there!
Nice to see you have a gardening buddy getting a little pleasure from your effots!
Your flowers look Wonderful! but Kitty steals the show!!:)Have a great week!
Pretty pretty! I love the clematis! I don't have any in my gardens! I need to look into planting some. The lupines are stuning too! Ok, time to go shopping for flowers!
Have a great day!
Sandra
Interesting as always. I loved Lamium for ground cover at first. Now doubt are setting in as it seems bent on taking over the world.
Great shots. Have a good weekend.
Everything is beautiful!! Love that Smudgie.
